How to wear Harem trousers -

I love the new harem style trousers that were on the catwalks - but have no idea how to wear them. Can I wear flat shoes with them?

Harem trousers are one of the key trends for S/S 08 - but it's also an easy look to get horribly wrong. Look for a trouser that is gently voluminous and narrows in at the ankle (be careful of the more theatrical version shown at the Jean-Paul Gaultier show). The easiest way to wear this look is through gentle layering. Try teaming the harem trouser with a soft and slouchy vest and a longer line jacket. Try to keep colours uniform for a more stream-lined look. An elegant pair of heels takes this look out of the dressing up box and into the mainstream.
